Gilles and I met back in June of 2000. Like the song says �Second Time Around�.

Gilles & I are probably one of the more fun loving couples that you will meet. We are blessed with, and choose to have a good sense of humor to get thru life's challenges. We had a few things in common. I had been divorced for 7 years as he had, and we were both from New York. he a city boy and myself, close enough, a Queens girl. Gilles was �forced� to move away from two young children when his company relocated to Boca Raton. This was a very emotional time as you can imagine. My move, was to explore new horizons and make a life for myself.

I had always been a student of personal development, someone who knew at a very early age that �if I really put my mind to it� things could happen; More often than not I am an optimist. So when I met Gilles, I was immediately attracted to his enthusiasm. He also astounded me by stepping up to a volunteer role with an organization (The Landmark Forum) that he knew nothing about. I was completing my SELP course and here it was our first date and G said �of course I will��. At that time I was also volunteering with the Big Sister Big Brother Organization and Gilles once again stepped in as the Big Brother to the brother of the lil� sister that I was taking care of, a happy family for a snapshot of time. Little did I know that this volunteer streak ran through his blood. G still shares his many stories as a Volunteer Fireman and AEMT (advanced emergency medical technician), where he experienced life changing decisions on a daily basis. His passion is to create a volunteer organization consisting of doctors, paramedics and emergency medical technicians who will respond to emergency crises throughout the world.

On the same night of our first date he handed me two different imprinted stones, one with a butterfly and one with an angel, I was stunned. His words thereafter were incredibly insightful (especially for a first date) and so very thoughtful�well the rest is as they say �history�. We just celebrated our 6th year of marriage November 2007. I became a step-mother to two beautiful, now adult children. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to be present in their younger years. This relationship definitely comes with its own challenges. We both have elderly parents who still live up in New York. I guess you can say we did the reverse move with regard to being down here. We met at a bar called Boston�s in Delray Beach, FL�how ironic is that!

Gilles is a 25 year veteran of a corporation and all I think of is "boy, are they fortunate" to have him. Our vision, which is quite realistic, is for him to retire on his terms. HE will be GIVING that "golden handshake" not getting it. I have worked corporate for the last 20 years. Starting up in New England then owned a small Real Estate company here in South Florida that really owned me, if you know what I mean. I got to close my doors this past November.

After working for myself, there was no way that I would end up working for anybody ever again. I found this business, as you have through an internet ad in July of 07 and never looked back.
